Had a great time talking with Britton and Pat from Blue Line.
We started by learning about Britton and his time in the US Army, and why he decided to join. Shared that he went in wanting to be an MP and did exactly that. Shared some pictures and stories of his time out of country. When he decided to leave the military he did take about a year and a half off to "party" before using his GI bill to go in to the Police Academy. From there he joined one of our local Police Departments and has now moved on to a Private Sector Job.
As for Pat, while he is not a veteran he is a retired Fire Fighter and Law Enforcement. Pat shared his becoming a Fire Fighter and travels all over the country and through places like Nashville. He spoke to us about driving the Tour Bus for a music artist out there. (you have to listen to know who).
We moved on to their group Blue Line who plays all over Northern California, but spends most of their time here in the Central Valley of California. We were able to learn how the group got started on accident. Bunch of Law Enforcement guys all talking to each other and learning who played what instrument and deciding to get together one night and play. May not have been the best songs to suit them at that point, but they decided they wanted to see where this could go. So they played for one of their fellow LEO's Birthdays and it was a hit. Two buses, a bad ass name and logo, and 9 years later they are still having fun performing for crowds. They are a cover band who just wants the audience to have the best time ever. Go check them out!
